An annual lecture in memory of a rising star of theoretical physics and alumnus of St John’s College.
The 19th Andrew Chamblin Memorial Lecture, titled Gravitational Waves, Black Holes and Experimental Tests of Gravitational Theory, will be given by Professor Thibault Damour (Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques).
It is in memory of Dr Chamblin (1969-2006), who studied for his PhD in Theoretical Physics at St John’s.
Admission is free but booking is required or it will be available to watch live online.
