Cambridge open days are aimed at prospective applicants from Year 12 (or equivalent) and mature applicants (aged 21 or over), together with their parents or supporters, to help them learn more about the University. If you are considering applying for an undergraduate course, open days are held in July to visit colleges and departments and September to visit colleges.
Forthcoming dates are 10 and 11 July 2025, and 12 September 2025.
During our open days, you can find out about courses, St John's College and the University departments. You’ll be able to explore the College with a current student as your guide and ask our current staff and students questions about living and studying at the University of Cambridge. You can find out about our facilities, the application process, student life and ways to finance your studies.
On a typical open day, we have events running and host tours of the college with current students between 9.30am and 4.30pm (UK time). The Tutor for Undergraduate Admissions hosts a talk with a Q&A session at around 10am and 2pm on each day. As the format for all open days is similar, you only need to attend on one occasion to find out what you need to know to help you to apply.
