Dr. Castillo-Blas obtained her PhD in 2019 focused on the preparation and advanced characterisation of heterometallic metal-organic frameworks under the supervision of Dr Gándara and Prof Monge at the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (CSIC), Spain. Later she joined Dr Platero-Prats´group at the Universidad Autónome de Madrid as a PDRA to study the metal-oxo clusters of post-synthetically modified MOFs. Since November 2020 Celia is PDRA at the group of Prof. Bennett at the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy (University of Cambridge). In Sepptember 2021 she is member of St John´s Colleges, as a College Research Associate. She currently leads her own research lines in the field of glassy MOFs and MOF composites.
Celia is interested in the synthesis and advanced characterisation of porous materials, namely, metal-organic frameworks. She is an expert in the use of the Pair Distribution Function analysis and powder X-ray diffraction.
