Background

Dr Castelvecchi studied composition at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome and holds a laurea in humanities from the University of Rome I – La Sapienza and an MA and PhD in Music from the University of Chicago.

Teaching

Most of Dr Castelvecchi's teaching has centred around music of the 18th and 19th centuries, the theory of genre and textual criticism (critical editions).
