Departmental homepageProfessor Wheeler has a master's in Engineering from the University of Oxford and a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
He currently supervises Part IA Thermofluids and Mechanics.
Professor Wheeler's research interests include aircraft propulsion, power generation, turbomachinery aerodynamics, high-fidelity simulation and modelling. He works closely with industry partners (Rolls-Royce, Siemens Energy, Dyson) to support more sustainable flight and power generation.
