Professor Mullins's interests are focused in the area of efficient machine learning and computing hardware. He is a founder and director of lowRISC, a not-for-profit company that uses collaborative engineering to develop and maintain open-source silicon designs and tools. He was also a co-founder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, a UK charity that promotes the study of computer science and electronics at the school level.
Professor Mullins teaches on courses related to his research in the Computer Science Tripos.
