Background

Reverend Dr Johnson is Dean of Chapel. Prior to this she was Precentor and trustee of York Minster, a Residentiary Canon of Ely Cathedral and a Parish Priest in Manchester. She studied theology at Cambridge and Yale, USA. Before her ordination in the Church of England, she was a cancer research scientist with a doctorate in Biochemistry. She is a trustee of Westcott House, Cambridge, a member of the Littlemore Group, Mission Theology and Apologetics Group, and the College of Archbishop's Evangelists. She is a trustee of the National Centre for Early Music, The Church Music Society and the Ryedale Festival.

Teaching

Dr Johnson has taught liturgy and homiletics, liturgical theology and spirituality, mission theology, Christian formation and education, music and theology, apologetics, and science and religion.
